Types And Characteristics Of Chemical Fiber Carpets

Chemical fiber carpets are made of chemical fibers as the main raw materials, including polypropylene fiber (polypropylene), polyacrylonitrile fiber (acrylic fiber), polyester fiber (polyester), nylon fiber (nylon) and other chemical fiber raw materials.

Chemical fiber carpets can be divided into tufted carpets, needle-punched carpets, woven carpets, braided carpets, bonded carpets, static flocked carpets, etc. according to their different weaving methods.

The decorative effect of chemical fiber carpets mainly depends on the form of the surface structure of the carpet. Different surface structures have different characteristics.

(l) Flat loop pile: It is characterized by uniform flat loops across the board, uncut, smooth surface, strong and durable.

(2) Multi-layer pile high and low stitches: The characteristics are that the carpet pile pile height is inconsistent, the surface is undulating and sculptural, and the pattern seems to be engraved on the carpet.
