7 Reasons For Kids To Prefer Artificial Grass

Sure you can think of many reasons why you prefer artificial grass for your lawn. It stays green, you can’t tell it’s not natural and requires hardly any maintenance. In addition, artificial grass is practical, easy, multifunctional, etc.
But what do your kids think? Would they prefer natural or artificial grass?
We’re convinced they’ll prefer the latter and here’s why:
1. Artificial grass is soft and feels nice
These days, artificial grass feels really nice and soft. Kids love playing on it. Really: once your baby experiences the softness, he’ll learn to crawl as soon as possible ;-) It feels so nice and soft. Especially when you feel natural grass during a dry spell. In summer, when kids play outside most often, natural grass often feels relatively hard.
2. Artificial grass doesn’t stain clothes
There is absolutely no risk of getting any nasty, almost impossible to remove green stains your clothes with artificial grass. Your kids can play football, romp and frolic around. Yes, they will probably slip and fall on the grass, but their clothes won’t get stained!

After it has rained, natural grass stays wet for a longer time than artificial grass. Which simply dries quicker. Especially when the sun is shining. Just take cover from the rain, wait a little bit and go back outside to play.
4. You can put a pool on artificial grass
Yes, you can place a pool on natural grass too. But when you remove the pool again after a couple of weeks, your lawn will be visibly and often permanently damaged. Artificial grass has the resilience to recover after a pool was put on it for some time. The fibers will be flattened at first, but you can easily brush them back into their original state.
5. Kids can play on artificial grass the entire year
Natural grass requires maintenance. It needs to be detached, fertilized, sprayed and patches need to be sown or installed again… With all this maintenance, your kids won’t be allowed on your lawn for a couple of weeks a year. Artificial grass, however, doesn’t require those maintenance works. Once the installation’s been completed, your kids can play on it every day of the year.
6. No need for that puddle
Now, we’re being serious here. Don’t you agree it’s quite annoying to have that silly puddle next to your pool on natural grass? If you don’t want your pool to become a pond with frogs instead of kids playing, you need to wash your feet before taking a dive. (Okay, maybe the pond part is somewhat exaggerated, but you get our drift.)
7. You can play soccer throughout the year

It’s no surprise more and more clubs are now playing on artificial grass. The soccer field is perfect the entire year. Now, we may not be able to guarantee that our artificial grass will make your kid the new Ronaldo. But then again, if he does, we won’t claim a share of his winnings either .
